Job Description Summary:

The Excel Developer is responsible for gathering requirements, developing Excel databases and tools, testing and validation, and performing integration with other current and future systems.

Responsibilities:

Determine the best ways to store data, perform updates, and ensure flexibility for end-users.
Write technical documentation to explain algorithms and logic needed to build calculation engines.
Document complex data sets and calculations and ensure tools meet best practices.
Develop Excel databases, forms, macros, and other tools to perform specified functions.
Create test plans or programs to validate calculations and data.
Drive and suggest innovations and technologies to improve performance, calculation time, and communication.
Using advanced quantitative and analytic skills, respond to requests for data, including sourcing, creating charts/tables, and analyzing and interpreting complex data sets.
Report on project status, estimate work requirements, all while managing a variety of distinct initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business, information technology, or related fields.
3 years of data modeling or other data experience demonstrating knowledge of database management systems and data management tools.
Exceptional Excel skills, including macro development experience.
Background in programming, VB macros, and other technologies.

Travel Requirements:

Travel 50 to 75%.
